An adjustable bracelet gives you flexibility, but it still needs to fit your wrist and open enough to go over your hand. Before choosing a cord bracelet, check its adjustment range, closure and materials. Then choose a color you will enjoy wearing with clothes you already own.
How to check the fit before buying
- Measure your wrist. Wrap a flexible measuring tape around the area where you plan to wear the bracelet. Keep it close without squeezing. If you use string, mark it and measure it against a ruler.
- Compare the usable adjustment range. “Adjustable” does not mean every wrist size. Ask for the minimum and maximum fit when those measurements are not listed.
- Consider how it goes on. A sliding-cord bracelet needs enough opening to pass over your hand. Confirm that opening if you are unsure.
- Check comfort after adjusting. It should not pinch, restrict movement or slide off. Move your wrist and see whether the decorative section stays comfortably positioned.
